Aniaya woke up with a sudden chill down her spine. She quickly sat up in bed, grabbing her favorite pillow, and pulled it tight against her chest. Looking around the barely lit room, her heart raced against her chest, uncertain why she was feeling that way. She held her breath, listening for any sounds that might have woken her up. There wasn't a single sound that could be heard, besides the rapid pounding of her heart against her chest. She told herself to calm down, that there wasn't anything to be scared off. She lived by herself in a cabin that was surrounded by beautiful snow covered mountains. After several minutes had passed, her heart rate finally slowed. She shook her head, feeling stupid for getting her nerves worked up for absolutely nothing. It wasn't like some family member was sneaking up on her while she slept, to play a practical joke and laugh about it for several months later, making sure she wouldn't forget about it for a good while. She laughed at herself for a moment, remember the times when her older brothers, the triplets, would try and play pranks of her. She knew better, and stayed a step a head of them. The prank was always on them. They hated that about her, and always tried to out smart her. One day they might trick her, but not anytime soon.
She let out a heavy sigh, placed her pillow behind her, and pulled her starry midnight black comforter off her heated body. She was burning up and needed a cold drink to cool herself down. Not to mention her throat was dry and felt tight. A nice cold glass of ice water should do the trick. Licking her dry lips, she could already imagine the cool water sliding down her parched throat. She sat up in bed, which was a king size bed, and scooted to the edge. She placed her feet on the cherry hardwood floor. The wood felt cold against the bottom of her feet, which she greatly appreciated at the moment. She closed her eyes, letting the coolness settle in, hoping the rest of her body would cool down. Her blue-green flannel pants stuck to her legs from the intense heat, and her gray fitted tank top clung itself against her upper body soaking up her body moister. Why was she so hot all of a sudden? It was below zero outside, and here she is burning up, sweating all over the damn place. Something was seriously wrong with her. Maybe she should step outside for a quick two seconds that would surely cool her down rather quickly. But then again, that would put her into shock possibly. She didn't like being hot, it was harder to stay cool then it was to stay warm. She loved the snow and anything to do with the cold. That was one of the reasons she had moved up here, the other reason was the strange urge to move up north. Not ever understanding it, she listened to her instinct. It never failed her, at least not yet. She doubted it would ever fail her. Something was going to happen here, she could feel it. She just didn't know when that would be.
Opening her eyes, her thoughts went back to her rather large bed. She really didn't need this king size bed, for she had no one to share it with. Frowning, she pushed the simple true fact out of her mind, not wanting to dwell on it. Her parents had insisted on buying her the bed, for unknown reasons, and gave in to their annoying pleas. She was lucky she had found a cabin with a big enough bedroom to fit the large bed. However, there were times when she was actually grateful for the bed. She was able to scatter her reading books and school work, all around her and actually have an ample amount of room to move things around without things falling off the bed. She also was able to lay out a bunch of snacks for when she watched movies, crafts and supplies when she got bored, and also was able to lie down with her laptop, when her characters wanted her to write their stories.
I'll post more on this post. I'll go back and edit it when I add more. I just can't write anymore at the moment. Pressure build up in my head, and it is getting late. I need to try and get some sleep anyways. It's almost 3:30 AM now. Let me know what you guys think, and just check back. Remember where you left off. Or reread the post, I might go back and add more in between places. (I'm known to do that often...hehehe) Leave me some loving! *hugs to all*
